If something is broken, it helps to say which iPhone and iOS version you are on, and what you were doing when it happened.
Common questions
- My runs are not showing up.
- This is almost always Health access. Open the iOS Settings app, go to Privacy and Security, then Health, then My Run Book, and make sure the workout and heart rate categories are on. Then open My Run Book, go to Settings, Apple Health, and tap Check again, which forces a fresh read.
- Do I need to start a run in My Run Book?
- No. There is no start button. Record the run however you already do, with your watch or your phone, and My Run Book reads it from Apple Health. Nothing gets logged twice.
- Which workouts does My Run Book read?
- Running only. Cycling, swimming, strength work, and other workout types are ignored on purpose.
- Does My Run Book work with Garmin, Coros, or Strava?
- Only through Apple Health. If your device or app writes running workouts into Apple Health, My Run Book will read them. There is no direct integration with any of those services today.
- Is there an Apple Watch app?
- No. My Run Book is an iPhone app that reads what your watch already recorded.
- An AI feature says I have used up my allowance.
- Analysis questions, training plans, goal conversations, and monthly goals each call an AI model every time you use one, so they come with an allowance rather than being unlimited. New installs get an allowance with no expiry. After that the free tier keeps a monthly allowance for analysis questions, goal conversations, and monthly goals, and Premium raises all of them. Everything else in the app stays free and unlimited.
- I subscribed, but the app still shows the free tier.
- Open the Premium screen in Settings and tap Restore purchases. If that does not fix it, email us and include the Apple Account you purchased with, but never your password.
- How do I cancel my subscription?
- In the App Store, not in My Run Book. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then My Run Book. You keep Premium until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- How do I stop sending my notes to the AI features?
- Settings, Privacy, inside the app. Notes and journal entries are only ever included if you switch that on, and it is off unless you turn it on.
- How do I turn off anonymous analytics?
- Settings, Privacy, inside the app. There is a toggle. No run, pace, heart rate, goal, or note is ever included in an analytics event either way.
- How do I delete my data?
- Delete the app. Everything My Run Book stored lives on your device, so it goes with it. There is no account and no server holding a copy of your training. Your runs stay in Apple Health, where they were already.
- A number looks wrong.
- Please tell us, and say which screen and which number. My Run Book computes everything from your own runs, so a wrong number is a real bug and worth fixing.
