These terms cover your use of My Run Book, an iPhone app built by Brett Blakeley. Installing or using the app means you accept them.
How the app handles your data is covered separately, in the Privacy Policy.
Your license to use the app
My Run Book is licensed to you, not sold. Your license is the standard one Apple applies to every app on the App Store, the Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which you can read at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Where anything on this page conflicts with that agreement, that agreement governs.
Subscriptions
My Run Book is free to use. Premium unlocks the features that call an AI model each time you use one.
- My Run Book Premium, monthly. $3.99 per month.
- My Run Book Premium, annual. $29.99 per year.
Prices are in US dollars and may differ in other regions. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically. Your subscription renews at the same price unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of that period.
Managing and cancelling. You can manage your subscription, see its renewal date, or cancel it at any time in the App Store: open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your access in place until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Already paid but seeing the free tier? Tap Restore purchases on the Premium screen inside the app.
Free and Premium allowances
The AI features cost money to run, so they come with an allowance rather than an unlimited quota. New installs get an allowance with no expiry date. After that, the free tier keeps a monthly allowance for analysis questions, goal conversations, and monthly goals. Training plans are Premium.
Everything computed on your own device stays free at every tier, including your history, your status, your notes, and pinned analysis cards, which refresh forever at no cost.
These allowances may be adjusted over time. If an adjustment reduces what the free tier includes, it will be noted in the app's release notes.
My Run Book is not medical or professional coaching advice
My Run Book describes your own training and suggests running schedules. It is not a doctor, a physiotherapist, or a coach, and nothing it produces is medical advice or a diagnosis. Training plans and goals are generated from the data you give it, and they can be wrong.
You are responsible for deciding what to run. Talk to a qualified professional before starting or changing a training programme, and stop if something hurts. Do not rely on My Run Book to tell you whether an injury is safe to run on.
What the app is, and what it is not
My Run Book reads running workouts that are already recorded in Apple Health. It does not track runs, record your location, or replace the app that does. It needs Apple Health access to be useful, and it will not work as intended without it.
The app is provided as it is. It is built and maintained by one person, features may change, and it may occasionally be unavailable. To the extent the law allows, there is no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for a particular purpose, and liability is limited to the amount you have paid for it.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top changes and the previous version is replaced here. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
